AdHoc Studio released the "HR Violations Pack" patch on June 18, 2026, adding new visual censorship options to Dispatch on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, as well as rolling out updates for PC and PS5 platforms [1, 2, 3]. The patch allows players to unlock displays of nudity including breasts, buttocks, and obscene gestures, which had been previously censored in the global Switch release [1, 3].
The DLC is available in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The fully censored version without option changes remains exclusive to Japan [1, 2, 3]. Players can now toggle between multiple censorship styles such as pixelated effects, comedic cover-ups featuring "jorts," or solid black boxes for stronger censorship [1, 2]. Despite these added options, genitalia remain banned across all versions, and certain audio scenes—like Invisigal’s erotic dream sequence—are still muted on the Switch [1, 2, 3].
At launch, Dispatch used a single Switch build globally that met Nintendo’s strictest regional content requirements. This led to heavier-than-expected censorship and backlash from players who found the Switch version more restricted than anticipated [1]. AdHoc Studio apologized, explaining, "Approaching launch and running out of time and resources, we were surprised to learn that our game would require some level of censoring in all regions, not just the few we were already planning for... We decided to use a single Switch build that complied with Nintendo’s strictest regional rating... And for that we're truly sorry." [1]
The developer also said the Switch version could not have an uncensored release due to regulatory constraints and declined to explain why a single global build was used instead of region-specific versions [3].
The patch was provided free to address community feedback and offer players more control over content visibility on the Switch [2]. An Xbox version of Dispatch is expected later this summer and will include the same censorship options introduced in the current patch [1, 2].
Dispatch originally launched on PC in October 2025. Early in 2026, players noted unexpected heavy censorship on the Switch, sparking user complaints and prompting this update [1, 3].
