The deceased were identified as Mohd Aiman Mohd Rashid, 36; Nur Airish Syifa Sidek, 10; Nor Azlina Abd Latip, 33; and Semek Mat Soh, 73 [2, 3, 4]. They were members of a family from Terengganu, residing in Taman Setia, Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Dungun, Terengganu [4].
Two people were injured: Husnizam Hisamudin, 38, the Perodua Alza driver, and the BMW driver, whose identity remains unconfirmed [3, 4]. The Proton Wira driver, Muhammad Amirul Hazim Misnon, 22, escaped uninjured [3, 4].
Four occupants of the Mercedes-Benz survived: Mohd Azhar Ahmad, 63; his son Muhammad Hariz Mohd Azhar, 23; Rahimar A Rahman, 57; and an unidentified female passenger [3, 4].
Renggam Fire and Rescue Station dispatched a Sitrak fire engine and five personnel to the scene for rescue operations. Ismail Mamat described receiving the emergency call at 1:16 p.m. and deploying firefighters immediately to the site, where they found five vehicles involved [2, 3, 4].
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The sequence of events leading up to the collision has not yet been determined [4].
