The Sessions Court issued third-party notices on June 8 and June 10 for claims on jewellery and gold bullion linked to Salwani Anuar @ Kamaruddin, wife of former Malaysian Army chief Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. The hearing for any claims is fixed for July 31, 2026 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5].

The jewellery seized from Salwani includes a 29.17-gram necklace, a 9.53-gram bracelet, earrings weighing 6.61 grams, a Swarovski ring, and a pair of 6.64-gram gold earrings. The total value of these items is estimated at RM10,930 [1, 3, 4]. The jewellery is currently held in custody by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) [1, 3, 4]. Lawyer Muhammad Kausar Mohd Khairi confirmed his client had no objection to the application [1].

On June 10, the court also issued a third-party notice for 3.85 kg of gold bullion seized from contractor Mohamad Amirul Yusrie Aminorddin @ Ab Kadir, an acquaintance of Salwani [2, 5]. The bullion was seized under Section 41(1) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and will be forfeited to the government if no claims are made [2, 5]. The hearing on the bullion claim will also be held on July 31, 2026 [2, 5].

Both the jewellery and gold bullion seizure notices were issued under Section 41(2) of the MACC Act 2009 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. If no third parties come forward to claim the assets, they will be forfeited to the government [1, 2, 3, 4, 5].

Salwani faces charges related to receiving illegal proceeds. On January 22, 2026, she was charged with four counts involving receipt of RM77,000 between November 24, 2024, and November 25, 2025, deposited into a company bank account [1, 3, 4]. On January 26, 2026, she was charged at the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court with receiving RM5,000 deposited on January 16, 2025, in a separate case that was later transferred to Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for joint trial [1, 3, 4].

The seizures form part of Ops Parasit, launched on December 23, 2025, targeting a former army chief. Total seizures under the operation are valued at RM11.4 million [2, 5]. Additional assets seized include RM4.4 million in cash, RM1.4 million in foreign currency, a Range Rover SVR worth RM360,000, 26 luxury watches valued at RM2.3 million, two diamond rings worth RM20,000, a 150g gold medallion valued at RM102,000, and two gold dinars weighing 8.5 grams valued at RM5,780 [2, 5].

The court will hear all third-party claims regarding the jewellery and gold bullion forfeiture on July 31, 2026. If no claims are made by then, the assets will be officially forfeited to the government [1, 2, 3, 4, 5].
