Ahmad Shah Ahmad Ros, a 26-year-old Malaysian man, was stabbed and killed during a group fight in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, at around 3 a.m. on July 26, 2026 [1, 2, 3]. About 10 people from two rival groups, including Malaysians, were involved in the altercation [2, 3, 4]. Ahmad Shah had come to the scene with his wife after being called by a friend to help break up the fight [5, 6, 7].

During the altercation, a Malaysian man in his 40s allegedly stabbed Ahmad Shah in the abdomen and fled the scene but was arrested about an hour later by South Korean police [1, 3, 8, 7, 4]. Ahmad Shah was rushed to a hospital but died from severe blood loss around 3:30 a.m. local time on the same day [2, 6].

Ahmad Shah had lived and worked in South Korea in the manufacturing sector since 2019, supporting his family back in Malaysia [5, 6, 9, 7]. His mother, Zulfah Fadliani, said, "He chose to work in the manufacturing sector in South Korea from 2019 to support his parents and two siblings. He was very loving towards his family and friends and shared everything with me" [6].

The Malaysian Embassy in Seoul and South Korean authorities are jointly handling the investigation and consular matters, including documentation and repatriation of Ahmad Shah's remains [1, 7, 10]. The family has completed funeral rites in South Korea and is awaiting the return of his body to Malaysia [11]. Ahmad Shah's sister, Ain Sephia, said, "We have submitted all the required documents. Once the process is complete, arrangements will be made to bring the body home. There is no confirmed arrival date yet as several procedures remain" [3].

The family has appealed for public restraint from spreading unverified speculation and urged authorities to ensure justice is served [6, 9]. Zulfah Fadliani added, "We just want to bring our son home. We hope the government can facilitate and speed up all procedures so he can be buried in Malaysia" [9].
