Pakatan Harapan leaders announced they will hold a meeting soon to discuss issues arising from the PKR National Congress and the DAP Party Conference, including efforts to speed up reforms and tackle major scandals [1, 2, 3, 4].

Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, PKR information chief, said delegates from both gatherings delivered a clear message that reforms must be accelerated and firm action taken against violations of the law and significant scandals. "The message conveyed by the delegates at the Keadilan Congress and members at the DAP Conference was very clear that efforts to advance reforms must be accelerated and firm action must be taken, including on issues involving violations of the law and major scandals," he said [1].

Fadzil confirmed the reforms will extend beyond Tabung Haji to other agencies such as Felda, as directed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. "As the Prime Minister has said, it is not only Tabung Haji. Felda will be looked into next, as will any other agencies, as decreed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong," he added [3].

PKR leaders expressed gratitude to DAP for their decision to remain in the Federal Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim until the end of the current parliamentary term. At the DAP Party Conference held on August 16, 1,857 delegates voted to stay in the government while 242 voted against it [1, 2, 3, 4].

Fadzil noted political stability remains a top priority, echoing Anwar Ibrahim’s remarks during his closing speech at the PKR congress. "Political stability must remain a priority when deciding on any course of action, in line with the Prime Minister’s emphasis during his winding-up speech at the 2026 PKR National Congress," he said [4].

He also emphasized that any actions taken by the parties must focus on the interests of the people and country rather than political gains. "Any action taken by the parties must be guided by the interests of the people and the country, rather than political interests alone," Fadzil said [1].

The Pakatan Harapan meeting to discuss the outcomes of the congresses and the way forward is expected to take place soon.
