Selangor will distribute RM100 monthly cash aid for six months to 50,000 low-income families under the Kita Selangor Voucher initiative beginning June 30, 2026 [1, 2, 3]. The programme forms part of the RM140 million Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package Phase 1, unveiled on April 16, 2026 [1, 2, 3].

Recipients will be identified using existing databases such as the Selangor Well-being Life Assistance Initiative, eKasih, and Social Welfare Department records [1, 2, 3]. The list of beneficiaries will be reviewed on June 22 and 23 before notifications are sent out [1, 2, 3]. Eligible families will receive SMS alerts in stages starting June 23 to verify their details and apply via the official Kita Selangor Voucher Portal [3]. The state government warns the public to beware of fake SMS scams targeting applicants [3].

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said, "We will begin reviewing the list of recipients on June 22 and 23 before notifying those who qualify. Our target is for recipients to start receiving the RM100 monthly assistance from June 30, with payments continuing for six months" [1].

Additional initiatives under the resilience package include a RM30 monthly public transport subsidy for 50,000 users effective since June 15, 2026. The subsidy is valid on the state's demand-responsive transit (DRT) van network for six months and will expand to LRT and KTM Komuter services in a later phase [1, 2]. Datuk Seri Amirudin said, "The subsidy, which takes effect today, can be used for the state’s demand-responsive transit (DRT) van network for six months. It will also be expanded to other public transport modes, including the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and KTM Komuter services, in the next phase" [2].

The package also includes a free breakfast programme for 120,000 students across 965 schools aimed at reducing financial burdens on parents [1, 2]. Additionally, RM5 million was allocated to the 2026 Jelajah Ehsan Rahmah (JER) programme, bringing its total funding to RM10 million, with activities held twice in each state constituency beginning June 2026 [1, 2].

Phase 2 of the Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package, which focuses on protecting the industrial sector, will be tabled during a special state legislative sitting on June 19, 22, and 23, 2026 [2].
