A temporary diversion on the Gua Musang-Lojing road, which has been closed since December 3, 2025, due to a landslide, will reopen on May 21, 2026 [1, 2]. The closure resulted from the collapse of Section 107.6 of the Gua Musang-Lojing Road (FT185) at Pos Blau. Authorities believe the landslide was caused by underground water movement [1, 2].

The reopening aims to restore transport connectivity between the states of Kelantan, Pahang, and Perak, which has been disrupted since the landslide [1, 2]. Kelantan Public Works chairman Datuk Dr Izani Husin said, "The reopening of this route is undoubtedly important in restoring the transport network and revitalising the interstate economic sectors, particularly involving agriculture, tourism, and logistics" [1].

Officials urged motorists to remain cautious as the reopened route is a temporary diversion [1, 2]. Datuk Dr Izani also expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Works and Works Minister for their cooperation in addressing the issue [1, 2].

The initial closure on December 3, 2025, forced detours that affected commerce and travel in the region for nearly six months [1, 2]. The diversion's reopening on May 21 is expected to revive economic activities along this vital corridor that supports agriculture, tourism, and logistics [1, 2].
