Malaysia’s Immigration Department will suspend passport applications and printing services at 71 offices nationwide from June 26 to June 30 for system maintenance [1, 2, 3, 4].

Phase 1 of the closures will affect key branches including Putrajaya Immigration Headquarters, Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kelana Jaya, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) [1, 2, 3, 4].

The suspension covers physical counter services, online applications through the MyOnline Passport portal, and passport printing during this five-day period [1, 2, 3, 4].

Nine Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) will also be affected. Sources vary slightly on the exact UTC outlets involved. Some reports list UTC Pudu Sentral (Puduraya), Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang, Seremban, Ipoh, Sungai Petani, and Seberang Perai [1, 2, 3, 4]. Other sources add UTC Selangor and UTC Kedah to the list, reflecting minor discrepancies [2, 3, 4].

The public is advised to plan passport applications and renewals in advance to avoid inconvenience. Official updates will be provided through the Immigration Department’s channels [1].

The temporary closures will run through June 30, after which normal passport services are expected to resume at the affected offices.
