Prison inmates across all institutions in Malaysia, including Moral Rehabilitation Centres, Special Rehabilitation Centres, Special Detention Centres, and Henry Gurney Schools, will be allowed to receive family visits on May 29 and 30 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations [1, 2]. Visiting hours will run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on both days [1, 2].

Priority for these visits will be given to Muslim inmates, according to prison authorities [1, 2]. Visitors are not allowed to bring food or drinks for inmates; any refreshments must be purchased at the prison canteen instead [1, 2]. In addition, visitors are discouraged from giving money to inmates since all basic necessities are already provided, unless the funds are intended for specific needs like examination fees that require an official PPT 28 receipt [1, 2].

All visitors will be subject to the Prison Act and relevant regulations, including undergoing physical checks upon entering and leaving the prison premises [1, 2]. For families unable to visit in person, online meetings will be offered beginning May 30 through June 1 to enable remote contact with inmates [1, 2].

These arrangements aim to facilitate family connections during the religious holiday while maintaining security and order within the prison system. Online meeting access will conclude on June 1.
