A 14-year-old boy was allegedly confined and sexually assaulted at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning, Section 32, Shah Alam on May 13, 2026 [1, 2, 3]. The suspect lured the boy by promising to buy him a mobile phone internet package if he helped carry items at the suspect's home [1, 2, 3].
CCTV footage showed the suspect and victim together at about 8:05 a.m. before the boy was led into the apartment [3]. The victim was tied by his hands and feet and confined for about three hours before he managed to free himself and scream for help through a window [1, 2, 3]. "The victim was tied up before being sexually assaulted by the suspect. While being confined and left alone in the house, the victim managed to free himself and scream for help through a window," said ACP Ramsay Embol [1].
Neighbours heard the victim's cries and came to his rescue before police arrived around midday, after being alerted to the situation [1, 3]. Police have identified the suspect and launched a manhunt to locate him [1, 3]. The suspect has a criminal record that includes rape, robbery, and wrongful confinement dating back about 18 years. He was jailed in 2008 for those offences [2]. Police are investigating the case under Sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 377C (carnal intercourse against order of nature), and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Penal Code [1, 3].
