A 45-year-old motorcyclist was attacked with a meat cleaver after honking at another rider who was allegedly blocking his path on the Federal Highway motorcycle lane near Section 13, Shah Alam on June 12, 2026, at about 7 a.m. [1, 2]

Police received a distress call about the incident at 8:19 a.m. [1, 2] Assistant Commissioner Sarudin Samah said initial investigations found the victim had sounded his horn at a motorcyclist who was obstructing his path while traveling along the lane. [1] "The suspect, a 43-year-old local man, became dissatisfied with the victim's action," and stopped by the roadside to allegedly attack him with a meat cleaver, he said. [1]

The suspect, identified as a 43-year-old local man, was reportedly angered by the honking and confronted the victim, leading to the assault. [1, 2] Police have arrested the suspect and are investigating the case under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon. [1, 2]
