Bombardier will invest S$100 million (US$78 million) to expand its Asia-Pacific service hub at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. The expansion includes a new 250,000 square foot facility, nearly doubling the current footprint and workforce at the site. The Singapore hub supports around 2,000 aircraft annually and employs about 300 people today [1, 2].
The project is expected to create approximately 200 skilled jobs in Singapore, boosting the workforce to around 500 employees. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with operations starting in the second half of 2028 [1, 2].
The new facility will provide maintenance, modifications, avionics installation, painting, interior finishing, component repair and overhaul, as well as 24/7 emergency support services [2]. Bombardier said demand for next-generation business jets is driving growth in the Asia-Pacific region, which accounts for up to 10% of its US$20 billion backlog [1].
Paul Sislian, Bombardier’s executive vice president for aircraft sales and aftermarket services, said, “Asia-Pacific remains an important hub for Bombardier, and this investment is expected to further strengthen our footprint and ability to serve customers across the region.” He added, “We see continued growth, and for us, it was the right solution with the increase in utilisation.” [1, 2]
The expansion is supported by Singapore’s JTC Corporation and the Economic Development Board [2]. Bombardier reported a Q1 revenue of C$1.6 billion, with services making a meaningful contribution [2].
Construction will start in the second half of 2026, with the expanded facility expected to become operational in the second half of 2028 [1, 2].
