The Singapore Business Federation (SBF), partnering with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), officially launched VolunteerInc. on May 14, 2026, at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre during SBF’s annual Future Economy Conference. The programme aims to engage 600 companies and 6,000 employees in corporate volunteering by 2030 [1, 2, 3].

Since its soft start in July 2025, VolunteerInc. has deployed around 500 employees from more than 50 participating firms. Over 120 other companies have expressed interest in joining the programme [1, 2, 3].

VolunteerInc. offers participating companies hands-on support, training, and digital tools to track and measure their social engagement. Impact advisers and curated learning resources connect businesses with community organisations to facilitate effective volunteering projects [1, 2, 3].

One active participant, credit insurance firm Coface, has volunteered 10 times since July 2025, reaching over 130 beneficiaries. Coface’s initiatives include organising adaptive and inclusive sports programmes for seniors at social service agency Allkin Singapore. In April 2026, Coface arranged an inter-generational pickleball game involving seniors from Allkin and students from Yio Chu Kang Secondary School. Jeriel Choy, Coface’s regional head of HR Southeast Asia, said, “For us, the most meaningful part was seeing different organisations come together to collaboratively plan and deliver a programme for seniors” [1, 2, 3].

An SBF study from 2025 found that 9 in 10 local businesses value social sustainability but have difficulty implementing high-impact programmes. Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo said, “Businesses have an opportunity to do more than generate profit; they can be powerful engines of social change.” He added, “A good job isn’t just a pay cheque. It is a pathway to dignity” [1].

VolunteerInc. plans to continue recruiting and supporting companies throughout the coming years to meet its 2030 goals. The next milestone will be expanding volunteer outreach and impact measurement through enhanced digital platforms and community partnerships [1, 2, 3].
