The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore experienced a 95-minute outage of its bus arrival timing system on the MyTransport.SG app starting at about 6:15 a.m. on July 14, 2026 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. During the disruption, bus arrival timings were unavailable on MyTransport.SG and some other official platforms [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. An LTA notification at the start of the outage assured users, "We are currently experiencing technical issues with displaying bus arrival timings. However, bus services are operating as normal" [2].

Despite the outage, bus arrival timings remained accessible through certain third-party apps such as SimplyGo, SGBuses, and SG Next Bus, as well as at physical bus stop displays [5]. An LTA spokesperson stated, "Correct bus arrival timings remained available through some third-party apps... Bus services continued to operate as scheduled throughout the incident. We are currently investigating the cause of the outage to MyTransport app" [5]. The system was restored to full operation around 7:50 a.m. after about 95 minutes of disruption [3, 4, 5].

This latest incident follows a pattern of technical disruptions to the bus arrival timing system earlier this year. Similar outages included a four-plus-hour disruption on June 12 and a software defect in January triggered by a server failure, which necessitated a system reset and restoration by mid-February [1, 4, 5]. In April, damage to fiber-optic cables during North–South Corridor construction caused further disruption to the estimated time of arrival (ETA) system [2, 3].

On July 14 at 6:15 a.m., LTA issued notifications on MyTransport.SG acknowledging the outage and apologizing for the inconvenience. A message in Chinese read, "基于技术问题,无法显示巴士到站时间,但巴士服务仍正常运作。我们为由此造成的不便致歉,并正在解决问题。感谢乘客的耐心" [3].

LTA is investigating the root cause of the July 14 outage [5]. The agency is also upgrading the bus arrival timing system with a new cloud-hosted platform planned for launch by the end of 2027 to improve resilience and reduce future disruptions [3].
