SP Group completed the acquisition of ChargEco, operated by Strides YTL, and became its sole owner on June 30, 2026 [1, 2]. With ChargEco’s addition, SP Group operates the largest EV charging network in Singapore, surpassing other market operators to control a significant share of the country’s approximately 8,275 chargers managed by seven entities [3, 4, 5, 1, 2].
While the physical appearance of the ChargEco chargers will remain unchanged, backend management and customer service responsibilities transitioned to SP Mobility from June 30 [3, 4, 5, 1]. Users can continue accessing ChargEco charging points via the ChargEco app during a phased integration into SP Mobility’s broader network planned over the upcoming months [3, 4, 5, 1, 2].
SP Mobility has committed to maintaining current pricing for EV charging at HDB carparks in the eastern region until May 2029, pursuant to conditions set by the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCS) [3, 4, 5, 1].
SP Group made the acquisition official after obtaining conditional approval from the CCS in May 2026, following a public consultation earlier that year in January [3, 4, 5, 1, 2]. The two companies had submitted a joint application in December 2025 [2].
SP Group notified ChargEco and SP Mobility users of the integration through emails, app updates, and information on operator websites [3, 4, 5, 1].
The phased integration of ChargEco’s charging network into SP Mobility’s services will continue over the coming months as the companies work towards unifying operations under SP Group’s EV charging infrastructure [3, 4, 5, 1, 2].
