A strata-titled cinema space at Golden Mile Tower in Singapore has been put up for sale with a guide price of S$31 million, announced on June 29, 2026 by marketing agent CBRE [1, 2, 3]. The space is located at 6001 Beach Road #03-00 and covers approximately 104,991 square feet across multiple levels [1, 2, 3].

The premises include four auditoriums with a combined seating capacity of up to 2,000 people, alongside office spaces on the third and fourth floors of the building [1, 2, 3]. Part of the premises is currently occupied by Carnival Cinemas, which has screened Bollywood and regional films there since 2017 after taking over from Rex Golden Mile cinema [1, 2, 3].

The guide price translates to about S$295 per square foot based on the strata area [1, 2, 3]. Buyers eligible to participate include foreigners and corporate entities, with no additional buyer’s stamp duty applied [1, 2]. The sale is being conducted via an expression of interest exercise that will close on August 4, 2026, at 3pm [1, 2].

Joshua Giam, CBRE’s director of capital markets, described the space as “rarely available for sale” in a prime location and an “exceptionally unique opportunity” [2]. He added that, subject to authorities’ approval, the space offers flexibility for repurposing, saying “there is potential to reconfigure the premises into a single large auditorium with a seating capacity of close to 2,000, or to partially convert the space into alternative uses such as an event venue, media production studio, or gym” [1].

Golden Mile Tower sits near Nicoll Highway MRT Station with strong road connectivity and is adjacent to an upcoming redevelopment of the Golden Mile area [2]. The building’s owners attempted collective sales in 2022, April 2023, and 2024 at reserve prices between S$650 million and S$556 million but failed to sell [3].

In December 2024, the Urban Redevelopment Authority rejected a redevelopment proposal for Golden Mile Tower involving a 35-storey office and residential tower with an adjacent hotel. The URA instead made counter-proposals that included retaining the cinema block [3].

The current sale offer is narrower in scope, focusing on the cinema strata space with an expression of interest deadline set for August 4, 2026 [1, 2].
