By contrast, its industrial and commercial electronics segment grew 6.6% to HK$739.4 million [2, 3, 4]. Valuetronics attributed part of the net profit decline to a HK$47.18 million impairment loss from its investment in Trio AI, which posted a HK$48.43 million loss in FY2026 [1]. Income tax expenses for H2 2026 also rose sharply by 133.8% [1].

For the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, Valuetronics’ net profit dropped 31.3% to HK$117.1 million from HK$170.4 million in FY2025 [1, 2, 3, 4]. Full-year revenue fell 4% to HK$1.66 billion from HK$1.73 billion [1, 2, 3, 4].

Despite the earnings decline, Valuetronics proposed a final dividend of HK$0.14 per share and a special dividend of HK$0.16 per share, totaling HK$0.38 per share for FY2026 after interim dividends of HK$0.08 paid in December 2025. This marked a 40.7% increase from HK$0.27 per share in FY2025 [2, 3, 4]. The company raised its dividend payout policy range to 50-70% of annual net profit, above the previous 30-50% band. The board recommended a payout ratio toward the higher end despite profit pressures [1, 2, 3, 4].

Valuetronics outlined a shareholder return program worth about HK$300 million through special dividends and share buybacks to unfold over fiscal years 2027 and 2028. It said, "Group announced a programme to return around HK$300 million to shareholders by way of special dividends and share buybacks executed over FY2027 and FY2028" [4]. The revised dividend policy was summarized as "to a range of 50 to 70 per cent of annual net profit, up from previous 30 to 50 per cent range" [2].

On May 28, 2026, the day it released these results, Valuetronics’s share price rose 12.87% to HK$1.14 [1].
