Pang Gek Teng, 37, founder and former CEO of Surrey Hills Holdings, was charged on May 29, 2026, with 12 counts including multiple cheating offenses, one count of criminal breach of trust, one count of attempted cheating, and one count of forgery [1, 2, 3].

Between 2018 and 2019, Pang allegedly cheated a woman of more than S$400,000 over eight separate occasions. On January 4, 2019, she impersonated two individuals named “Desmond” and “Derrick” to convince the woman to transfer S$191,700. Pang claimed a private investigator had seen the woman's husband at a bank asking about her account and warned the money was at risk of being frozen, prompting the transfer for safekeeping [1, 2, 3].

From April 3, 2023 to February 28, 2024, while serving as a key executive officer at Surrey Hills Holdings, Pang allegedly committed criminal breach of trust involving over S$240,000 [1, 2, 4, 3].

Between December 2023 and February 2024, she attempted to cheat a second woman by falsely claiming that Orchard Turn Developments had made three bulk hamper orders to Surrey Hills Holdings worth over S$800,000 [1, 2, 4, 3].

In March 2024, Pang allegedly impersonated the CEO of Orchard Turn Developments via WhatsApp to cheat a third woman [1, 2, 4, 3]. In January 2025, she forged an electronic invoice from a consulting firm and used it to cheat the second woman, who transferred S$20,000 by bank transfer [1, 2, 3].

Surrey Hills Holdings terminated Pang's employment on March 26, 2025, after uncovering the alleged financial misconduct and initiated legal action against her [1, 2, 4, 3].

Pang began her career in an events company before enrolling at PSB Academy in Singapore. She also previously worked as a banker and founded Surrey Hills Grocer in 2021 [1, 2, 4].
