Jockey A’Isisuhairi Kasim, known as Harry, secured two wins at Sungai Besi racecourse in Malaysia on June 7. He rode the horses Aniki and Wait U Know to victory in the fourth race (Class 4A, 1,400m) and the final Class 5A (1,300m) race, respectively [1, 2, 3].

Harry, born in Kelantan, honed his skills in New Zealand before racing in Singapore from 2012 until 2024. He moved to South Korea after the closure of Singapore's Kranji Racecourse in October 2024, where he won 70 races over two seasons on an all-sand surface [1, 2, 3].

He returned to Malaysia primarily for family reasons and to return to turf racing, which is more common here than in South Korea [1, 2, 3]. On June 6, his return day to racing at Sungai Besi, Harry rode four races without placing. On June 7, he also did not place in his first open race before his double win later that day [1, 2, 3].

Aniki, a six-year-old horse trained by Lim Shung You, had won four races in Singapore from late 2023 to 2024, including three consecutively. However, after moving to Malaysia, Aniki failed to win in 19 starts but placed eight times before June 7. Harry had not previously ridden Aniki in Singapore [1, 2, 3]. Harry said, "It was good to ride my first winner on this horse, especially I know the horse from Singapore. I know he has not won in Malaysia but it’s good to see that he is back in winning form. I am pleased to get the job done for the connections (Neo Stable) and it’s good to get my first winner (back) in Malaysia as well" [1].

Harry replaced the injured Bahauddin Sharudin to ride Wait U Know in the final Class 5A race on June 7, which he also won [1, 2, 3].

Harry continues competing at Sungai Besi following his return, aiming to build on his initial victories back in Malaysia after a stint overseas.
