Mega Ace captured the RM200,000 3YO Sprint Championship over 1,200 meters at Sungai Besi on June 14. The Earthlight three-year-old secured a 1¼-length victory over early leader Jet Thirty Five in the race, with Banker's Boss finishing third [1, 2, 3].

Mega Ace has now won seven of 10 starts, earning more than RM300,000 in prize money. The horse is trained by Simon Dunderdale, who said this race was Mega Ace's last outing of the campaign before a rest. Dunderdale remarked, "That was his ‘final’ this campaign and he will now head for a well deserved rest. I have been targeting this race for him for some time. He was nearly caught (by Pacific Energy) in his last start but that was against open company. He is unbeatable over 1,100m but, against his own age today, he is clearly the class horse in the race. Benny also knows the horse too well. I will see where I can place him next" [1].

Jockey Benny Woodworth rode Mega Ace to victory in the 3YO Sprint. Woodworth is currently serving a six-month suspension starting May 23 for not riding to stewards' satisfaction but has won six of seven rides on Mega Ace. He said, "He (Mega Ace) loves to race in front and the track (conditions) did not affect him at all" [1, 2, 3].

In a separate race, the RM62,000 Korea Racing Authority Trophy (1,200m) was won by Platinum Emperor, trained by Ricky Choi and ridden by apprentice jockey Ikram Jamaludin. Platinum Emperor carried 59.5 kilograms and has a rating of 111 [1, 2, 3].

Mega Ace’s victory on June 14 marks a significant milestone before the horse is rested, with future placement plans under consideration by the trainer [1].
