Netflix has announced a global concert tour for its animated film 'KPop Demon Hunters' in partnership with AEG Presents. The tour will offer a live experience designed to bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways, according to Netflix's official description [1, 2, 3].

The film premiered on Netflix in June 2025 and became the platform’s most popular English-language film ever, accumulating over 325.1 million views and remaining in the top 10 for 15 consecutive weeks. It won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the 2026 Oscars, with the song "Golden" made history as the first K-pop track to win an Academy Award. "Golden" also reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the movie's soundtrack spent several weeks in the Billboard 200 top 10 [3].

Despite the fanfare, Netflix has not released any information about tour dates, cities, ticket sales, or which performers will appear. Netflix is reportedly considering using virtual performers such as holograms and may not have the film’s singing trio — EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami of HUNTR/X — perform at every stop. This has led talent agency WME to propose an unofficial tour featuring the trio if they are not part of Netflix’s official events [1].

The tour format faces questions because the soundtrack contains only about 37 minutes of music across seven songs by HUNTR/X and other in-film artists. Fans can sign up for a waitlist to receive notifications when further details and tickets become available [1, 2, 3, 4].

Maggie Kang, the film’s director, said, "For those of you who look like me, I’m so sorry that it took us so long to see us in a movie like this. This is for Korea and for Koreans everywhere" [3].

Netflix’s press release noted, "There’s a reason so many of the most electrifying moments in KPop Demon Hunters happen during HUNTR/X’s sold-out concerts — only a crowd that loud and united can generate enough Honmoon love to hold the demon realm at bay" [3].

The global concert tour announcement came on May 13 when Netflix opened a waitlist for tickets. Forbes followed with coverage highlighting the film’s success and the unknowns about performers and dates on May 14. Bloomberg previously reported in March that Netflix was exploring virtual performers and that WME proposed the unofficial singer tour [1, 2, 3].
