YouTube Premium subscribers in the United States will gain access to Peacock's ad-supported streaming tier at no additional charge starting early 2027, the companies announced on July 27, 2026 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5].
The bundle will include TV shows, movies, live sports such as NFL and NBA games, and original content from Peacock and Bravo, expanding the entertainment options available to YouTube Premium users [1, 2, 3, 5]. The arrangement also covers streaming a selection of live sports events on YouTube's NBC Sports channel [2, 5].
This partnership follows a meeting between Comcast and Google executives about nine months ago and marks another step in NBCUniversal's evolving distribution strategy as it prepares to spin off from Comcast within the next year [1, 2, 5].
Currently, Peacock's ad-supported plan costs $10.99 per month, while YouTube Premium's monthly fee in the US was recently raised to between $15.99 and $16 as of June 2026 [1, 2, 3, 5]. YouTube Premium’s global subscriber base, including Music and Premium tiers, stood at over 125 million users as of 2025 [1, 2]. Peacock had 48 million paying subscribers in the US as of June 30, 2026, and reported profitability for the first time last quarter [1, 2, 5].
YouTube users can already add Peacock Premium and Premium Plus as add-ons through YouTube Primetime Channels ahead of the full integration planned for 2027 [5].
Matt Strauss, Chairman of NBCUniversal’s Media Group, said, "With this agreement, Peacock accelerates its next phase of growth by bringing the service to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers, driving long-term value for our business" [3].
