Europe named Leona Maguire along with three rookies—Julia Lopez Ramirez, Mimi Rhodes, and Nastasia Nadaud—as captain’s wildcard picks for the 2026 Solheim Cup team on August 3 [1, 2, 3]. The event will take place from September 11 to 13 at the Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands [1, 2, 3].

Maguire, 31, will make her fourth Solheim Cup appearance despite a dip in form. Lopez Ramirez is in her debut Ladies European Tour (LET) season and second LPGA season. She expressed excitement about her call-up to the team [4, 3]. Mimi Rhodes, ranked 92nd in the world, has three LET victories and was the LET Rookie of the Year in 2025 despite recent patchy form [4, 3]. Rhodes said, "To now be selected for the 2026 Solheim Cup is beyond anything I imagined.
