Alex de Minaur, the world No. 6 and top seed at the Queen's Club Championships, reached the quarter-finals before losing 7-5, 6-3 to No. 32-ranked Brandon Nakashima on June 19 in London [1, 2].

De Minaur began his campaign with a 7-6(8), 6-3 victory over Gabriel Diallo on June 16. He described the win as "a big challenge" and said, "it wasn't the most pretty match but today was all about surviving. This is my favourite part of the year and I love being in London" [3, 4].

The Australian then secured a dominant 6-4, 6-1 win against Denis Shapovalov on June 17 to reach the quarter-finals and improved his head-to-head record against Shapovalov to 6-0 [5, 6].

Meanwhile, British wildcard Arthur Fery defeated Adrian Mannarino 7-6(7), 6-4 on June 17 to also reach the quarter-finals [5, 6]. Mannarino had earlier beaten Jacub Mensik 7-5, 6-7(3), 7-6(5) on June 16 [3, 4].

Another noteworthy match saw Corentin Moutet end a five-match losing streak with a 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-6(5) victory over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Their match was suspended on June 15 due to fading light and completed the next day [3, 4].

The quarter-final loss ended De Minaur's run at Queen's Club, a stop on the grass-court swing he said he hopes to perform strongly in this year [3].
