Analogue has released firmware update 1.3.0 for its 3D console, adding the Memories save state feature. This allows players to save their game progress at any moment and resume from that point on the console, a feature highly anticipated since the device's launch [1, 2].

The Memories feature first appeared on Analogue's Pocket device in 2022. It was announced for the Analogue 3D in October 2024 but was not included at the 3D’s November 2025 launch [1, 2].

With the latest update, users can create up to 20 save files using Memories. When the save file limit is reached, the system automatically deletes the oldest save unless the user pins certain saves to keep them [2].

The update also adds hotkeys for quick save creation. It supports both 8BitDo's 64 Controller and the original Nintendo 64 controllers used with the Analogue 3D [2]. However, the Virtual Controller Pak feature remains unavailable for original or wired N64 controllers [1].

Other improvements released throughout 2025 and included in the update enhance support for multi-title flash carts. The firmware also improves HDR capabilities designed to better emulate CRT television visuals on OLED screens [1].

Despite these advances, the screenshot feature originally announced alongside Memories has yet to be implemented in the Analogue 3D [1]. Meanwhile, both the original and limited-edition color versions of the Analogue 3D are currently out of stock [2].

The 1.3.0 firmware update is available now, enabling users to finally access save states on the Analogue 3D console [1, 2].
