Sue Jacquot, an 81-year-old Twitch and YouTube streamer known as GrammaCrackers, was swatted on May 19 while livestreaming a continuous Minecraft session to raise money for her 17-year-old grandson’s cancer treatment in Queen Creek, Arizona [1, 2, 3, 4].

The swatting call falsely reported Jacquot had been shot and killed and that her grandson threatened suicide. This prompted a large police response with about five SWAT vehicles, 20 police cars, drones, and multiple armed officers entering her home while she was asleep [1, 2, 3, 4]. Jacquot recalled, "I was asleep, and these policemen came in the door... they walked me out, and I didn't know what was going on," adding the officers were kind. She said, "It was kind of fun. It was!" and described the lead female officer as "the prettiest policewoman I’ve ever seen – beautiful eyes, so sweet, but I think she could kick butt if she needed to." [2, 3]

Jacquot began streaming and creating online content in October 2025, initially focusing on Minecraft before branching into Rocket League, Roblox, and Fortnite [3, 4]. Since May 4, 2026, she has run a continuous Minecraft challenge titled "Not Ending Until I Beat Minecraft" to raise funds for her grandson Jack Self, who has a rare sarcoma cancer. She dedicates all advertising revenue and fundraising proceeds toward his medical bills [1, 3, 4].

Despite the traumatic swatting incident, Jacquot has no plans to stop streaming or fundraising. She continues her Minecraft livestream and said she wondered what her grandkids might have done to cause the police visit. Family members and viewers showed emotional support after the incident, with Jacquot recalling hugs from her children and grandchildren, saying, "My grandkids and my kid, they were hugging me – you know, you can’t get that much attention normally... I was really eating it up!" [1, 2, 3, 4]

Online communities expressed anger and concern over targeting an elderly streamer raising money for cancer treatment, hoping the attention would help boost donations [4]. Jacquot’s Minecraft fundraiser will continue as planned.

The ongoing livestream challenge to beat Minecraft and raise funds remains active, with no set end date announced [3, 4].
