Critical Role has released an official, detailed map of Dol-Makjar, the main city featured in Campaign 4 of their show, on its website and Instagram this June 2026 [1, 2].
The map was created by Andy Law, a cartographer and game producer known for his previous work on Critical Role's Tal'Dorei maps [1, 2]. It reveals 16 distinct districts within the city, including the seedy Tanners district and the more inviting Villa Aurora area [1].
Dol-Makjar is shown as a large, vertically rugged city built on a steep terrain, reflecting its origin as a fortress town [2]. The Rookery district, an important meeting place for the in-game schemers group, sits halfway across the city on a steep hill [2]. Outside the city walls lies the Hallowed Round area, also marked on the map [2].
Taliesin Jaffe, a cast member, commented on the map's release: "That seems like an oversight on our part... not only did one exist, but that it was beautiful" [1].
The map is available in the Campaign 4 lore section under Dol-Makjar on the official Critical Role website [1].
