Orbitals, a new indie co-op puzzle adventure inspired by 1990s anime, will launch as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive on September 3, 2026 [1, 2]. Players control two space explorers working together to save their space station from a cosmic storm [1, 2].

The game supports both local and online co-op play, including the Switch 2's GameShare feature that lets two players share one copy of the game [1, 2]. Jakob Lundgren, Orbitals' director and a former developer at Hazelight Games, said he aimed to bring "the same design and co-op philosophies" as Hazelight's It Takes Two and Split Fiction while ensuring Orbitals "has its own identity and feels like a fresh experience" [1].

Kepler Interactive is publishing the game [2]. Orbitals was first revealed at The Game Awards in December 2025 and later showcased at the February 2026 Nintendo Switch 2 Partner Showcase without a confirmed release date [1, 2].

On August 29, 2026, Nintendo Direct announced Orbitals' release date as September 3 and opened pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop [1, 2]. The launch will mark one of the first exclusives available for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console [1, 2].
