Nintendo has launched a new 'Choose Your Game' bundle for the Switch 2 console priced at $499.99 in the US. The package includes the Switch 2 console plus a digital download of one of three Switch 2-exclusive games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia [1, 2].
The bundle is currently available for purchase at major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and the Nintendo Store [1, 2]. Customers redeem their selected game in the bundle using a 16-character code on the Switch eShop after setting up the console [2].
The Switch 2 console itself features 256GB of internal SSD storage, with Mario Kart World requiring 22GB for installation [2]. Retail prices for the standalone games are $79.99 for Mario Kart World, and $69.99 each for Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia [1, 2]. Selecting Mario Kart World in the bundle offers the greatest savings, up to $30 compared with buying the console and game separately [1, 2].
Currently, the standalone Switch 2 console sells for $449.99 in the US. However, starting September 1, its price will rise to $499.99, matching the cost of the new bundle [1, 2]. Nintendo first teased the 'Choose Your Game' bundle in early June 2026 [2].
The launch of the bundle ahead of the September price hike provides customers an opportunity to lock in a Switch 2 with a popular exclusive title at the current cost of the console alone. Retailers will continue selling both the bundle and standalone consoles until the price increase takes effect next month [1, 2].
