Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player, turn-based tactics game set during the Clone Wars era, will launch on August 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S worldwide [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6].

The game is developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and published by EA, with Greg Foertsch, former Firaxis art director on the XCOM series, leading development [2, 3, 5, 6]. Foertsch said, "Our team has poured everything we love about Star Wars into Zero Company. We've worked hand-in-hand with Lucasfilm Games to create an authentic Star Wars story packed with unique new characters, robust character customization, a new ship, Separatist Droids, and much more, all rooted in the conflict of the Clone Wars" [6].

Players follow Hawks, a former Republic officer commanding an elite mercenary squad called Zero Company. The story centers on Hawks and his allies as they battle a Dark Side cult threatening the galaxy [1, 2, 3, 6]. Anakin Skywalker appears in a cameo role [4, 5, 6].

Gameplay is turn-based with permadeath mechanics, meaning characters can be lost permanently if defeated [1, 3, 5]. The game includes RPG elements such as squad mates with loyalty missions and in-depth conversations, alongside robust character customization options [5].

Standard Edition pricing is set around $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles. A Deluxe Edition digital release is also available for $59.99, offering cosmetic packs but no early access [2, 3, 4, 6]. Pre-orders grant the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack [1, 6].

The release date and gameplay trailer were revealed today at Summer Game Fest 2026, marking the start of pre-orders ahead of the August launch [1, 4, 5, 6].
