Pogacar crossed the finish line 32 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel, who finished second, while Paul Seixas came third at 34 seconds behind [1, 4, 5]. Jonas Vingegaard finished seventh, trailing Pogacar by 44 seconds on the stage. This result increased Pogacar’s lead in the general classification to 3 minutes and 36 seconds over Vingegaard [1, 3, 4, 5].

Pogacar's win was his third stage victory in this Tour and his 24th career stage win at the race overall [1, 4, 5]. Despite facing boos from some French fans during the stage, Pogacar said the negativity actually motivated him and his team. "I have haters and haters gonna hate. To all the booers who are there, they just give more boost to my teammates," Pogacar said. He also cited the example of Novak Djokovic’s mental toughness in similar situations [3].

Pogacar reflected on the stage's challenge, saying, "We targeted this stage from a long time ago. Two years ago, Jonas beat me in the sprint fair and square. Today was similar, my legs to the finish were completely destroyed, but yeah, I enjoyed the day" [1]. He added: "Today was an incredible day. The team did a super good job" [4].

Jonas Vingegaard said his performance was "OK" but admitted the short climbs remain difficult for him. "My legs are getting better and better, and I'm looking forward to the longer climbs," he said. He also noted the ongoing physical demands of the sport [1, 3].

Pogacar’s teammate Isaac Del Toro lost time on the stage and dropped from third to seventh place in the overall standings [1, 3, 4, 5]. British rider Tom Pidcock crashed during the stage but recovered well to finish ninth on the day and move into the top 10 overall [1].
